Hello Las Vegas! My name is Jose Oros, and I am from the city of Guadalajara in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. I came to California in 1988 and worked in the Restaurant Industry from 1989 to 2004. I moved to Las Vegas in September 2004 and worked for the Wynn Casino from 2005 to 2018.

In late 2016 my daughter Stacy and her boyfriend Chance mentioned their intentions to open a restaurant. And what type of restaurant did they want to open up? A vegan one! But back at that time, I had no idea what being vegan in Las Vegas meant. In my mind I thought they wanted to sell fruit and vegetable juices throughout Las Vegas! Then they asked me if I knew the difference between being a vegetarian and being a vegan. This again took me completely by surprise since I had no clue.

I felt so embarrassed that later on I went home to do some research online and learn more about veganism as a whole, so that next time I would know what they were talking about. Then, the more research I did, the more I became interested in being part of this vegan culture, diet, and even lifestyle! I was so excited to talk with them about the journey we were about to start together. We began planning this venture using my daughter’s homemade recipes while I ran the operation and looked for suppliers. I was able to check out some vegan friendly restaurants near me for inspiration and we quickly started testing amazing combos with vegan meats until we finally got the perfect recipes down!

Fast forward a year later and we opened Veganos Kitchen in December of 2017. For the last few years, we have been proud to serve authentic Vegan Mexican Food and American Food in Las Vegas. We even recently expanded our menu to include more delicious items like our Impossible Burger served with our homemade dressing, California Burrito served with rice, beans, lettuce, pico, vegan shredded cheese, sour cream and choice of vegan meat, and the amazing new 12-inch Mexican Style (Rajas) Pizza! Think all those sound amazing? You should see the rest of our vegan menu!

One big thing I experienced through looking more into the vegan diet and lifestyle was just how amazing the sense of community was among vegans! We wanted Veganos Kitchen to reflect that same amazing sense of community. So at Veganos Kitchen, we want you to feel welcome. Whether you’re a local or someone coming in from out of town for a night or two, our friendly and accommodating staff are always happy to take your order and make sure you leave happy and full!

Why a Vegan Restaurant in Las Vegas?

So many tourists come to Las Vegas that have never had the pleasure of enjoying vegan food and see how good it can really be. From time to time we have customers come in who have never even had vegan food before. It always makes me smile to see how shocked they are at just how similar to non-vegan food our food tastes! I’m happy that more and more places are accommodating vegan eaters, gluten-free eaters, and a wide variety of other dietary restrictions. However, as wonderful as the vegan Las Vegas food is, there is always more work that can be done to provide variety!

That’s why here at Veganos Kitchen, we work to constantly improve our recipes and improve our menu to bring you the homecooked food you know and love (as well as some traditional food you just have to try)! We know you’re tired after a long day at work and just want to relax with some great vegan food. Let us do the cooking for you tonight, and give Veganos Kitchen a chance, we got you covered.
